Senior Session FAQ

Senior Session FAQ's

If this page does not answer your question, please reach out to me via my contact page or give me a call.  It's sometimes easier to chat.

What will my senior session be like?

It will be fun!  I have photographed many seniors over the years and most are not comfortable when the shoot starts.  That's perfectly normal!  I'll help you get comfortable and have you laughing throughout our session!

How long will my session last?

Sessions typically last 2 hours, depending on how many outfit changes you have.  I love photographing, so I'll often keep going unless you stop me!

What should I wear?

I typically recommend something you are comfortable wearing and avoid busy patterns which might compete with the surroundings.  Choose colors that you like or might bring out your eyes - typically neutrals work great.  You can bring multiple outfits.  Do you play a sport?  If so, bring along your game jersey, ball, bat, helmet, etc. and we can take some sport photographs too!  Win states, don't forget your ring or jacket!

When can I see my images?

I typically will have your images ready within 3 to 4 days after your session, at most 7 days.  I like to meet with you when you see your images for the first time, but sometimes that's not always easy.  In those cases, I will post your images on my website in a password protected gallery for you to view and select your favorites for print.  The images you initially view will not be edited or retouched as I do not know which ones you will order.

Can I purchase the digital images?

You don't need to!  I provide social media sized digital images of every image you order.  All of the images you order are fully retouched.  Images you do not order are not retouched and are not available for digital download.

Where and when will my session take place?

I will travel within 1.5 hours from the Sebago Lake area.  Most seniors have a special place they want their session.  If you don't, no worries!  I have a lot of areas near by that I have access to, depending upon your interests.

My skin is breaking out before my session, what can you do?

I pride myself in delivering an end product you will love!  And guess what?  None of us are perfect!  I personally  retouch every single image and I take great care to ensure editing is natural and will bring out your features.

Can I bring a friend?

You can bring a friend, but keep in mind, this is your session!  I want to be sure the focus is 100% on you.

How much do you charge?

My session fee of $350 is due at the time of reserving your session (plus sales tax).  This fee includes a $100 credit toward your order for prints (see below).

Do you offer packages?

I offer a variety of print sizes and do not limit your choices to a particular package. I have a variety of print products that I can show you (photographic paper, canvas, metal, wood, mounted on sintra, etc.). My prices for archival quality photo paper start at $25 for 5x7 (gift sized prints) and range to $160 for 30x40 prints.  Canvas, metal, wood and other specialty wall products vary depending on size and product selected.  Once your prints go beyond 11x14, I recommend wood, metal, canvas or another mounted product. I prefer these products because it saves you from buying a frame and putting the image behind glass; it also depends on what you have on your walls now. I can help you choose, so no worries! Also, as already stated, any image ordered will receive a social media sized digital file for sharing on FB/IG, etc.

Do you include a yearbook photo?

Yes!  I will work with your High School to provide the yearbook staff with an image that meets their specifications. I just need to know who to send it to, your favorite image and the yearbook deadline.
