About the Artist

As you look at my work, you'll see a variety of photography genres.  Images of nature, wildlife and landscapes.  These photographs are special to me and each have a story behind each of them.  Seeing my first Aurora in Iceland was certainly a highlight in 2017.  You'll also see I enjoy photographing high school seniors and sports athletes.  I truly love capturing the unique personality of a senior or making a sports athlete look 'larger than life'.  I also enjoy taking professional head shots for social media sites.  Many photographers specialize in one or two areas of expertise; I have found enjoyment and success in photographing multiple genres; it allows me to explore the many creative sides of photography and it challenges me to learn new things.  I am a student of this craft and truly enjoy learning and continuously growing as a photographer.

I am a past President of the Maine Professional Photographers Association (MPPA).  I became the 2017 Maine Professional Photographer of the Year for a set of images that merited at the 68th Annual Maine Photographic Association’s (MPPA) competition.  A collection of these images also earned me Bronze Medalist Photographer of the Year at the International Photographic Competition (IPC).  It was my first time competing at this level and all my images received a merit (very excited about this achievement!).   Since that time, I have also earned Silver and Gold Medalist of the Year at IPC!  I earned masters of photography degree through the Professional Photographers of America and remain an active member to this day.   In early 2021, I became a Certified Professional Photographer and I couldn't be more excited to be furthering my education and experience within the photography field.
